In this hands-on, engaging course, your team will learn how to apply continuous improvement to tackle the challenges that matter most in your classroom, school, or district—and make measurable progress toward your goals. By bringing a real problem from your context through the improvement process, you’ll gain practical tools, new skills, and a clear path forward. You’ll also take away strategies for leading and supporting continuous improvement with your team.

Build a clear, practical understanding of the continuous improvement process, key questions, and mindsets—so you can work smarter toward your goals
Align improvement efforts with school, district, or organizational priorities.
Use simple, effective tools to uncover root causes of challenges/problems —without getting stuck in analysis paralysis
Identify important leverage points for meaningful change by distinguishing root causes from symptoms
Develop a strong theory of action with a clear aim and change ideas worth testing
Learn how to run improvement cycles that support learning and progress
Use data in practical, accessible ways to track improvement and guide next steps
Strengthen your team’s culture of improvement by engaging educators, students, and stakeholders across the system
Leave with ready-to-use tools, protocols, and facilitation strategies you can apply in your own setting

Who should attend:
This course is ideal for anyone new to continuous improvement—or looking to sharpen their skills alongside their team. Educators, school and district leaders, coaches, counselors, students, caregivers, and community partners are all welcome.
We especially encourage teams to attend together to build shared understanding and make real progress on a challenge in your context. It’s also a great fit for onboarding new team or organization members.
If you are brand new to continuous improvement, you may wish to attend our FREE Foundations of CI course before attending CI 101.

Format:
This interactive virtual workshop takes place from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm PST (12:00 to 7:00 pm EST). There will be breaks and opportunities to apply learning to your context.
