Dr. Daisy Sharrock is Director of the CARE Network at the Center for Research on Equity and Innovation at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. The CARE network uses continuous improvement and lesson study to ensure that all 8th grade students graduate middle school on track for high school graduation and success in career and college.
Daisy has also supported the M.Ed program and the Teacher Apprentice Program as a lecturer and student advisor, supporting mid career masters students to complete improvement capstone projects, and supporting new educators in the use of lesson study to improve practice. Prior to joining the HTH GSE Daisy taught high school math and chemistry for seven years.
Daisy earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the High Tech High Graduate School of Education, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of California, San Diego and California State University, San Marcos. Her research focuses on the intersection of continuous improvement and teacher and student agency.
