Francesca Henderson is the Program Director of the M.Ed.Educational Leadership Program. With a background as a high school mathematics teacher, dean of students, and instructor for the EdL program in School Law, Francesca brings a wealth of experience to her role. Francesca holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from San Diego State University and a Master's degree in Education from High Tech High Graduate School of Education.
Throughout her career, Francesca has been committed to fostering equitable education practices. She firmly believes in empowering students, families, and teachers to engage with education in ways that promote inclusivity and address racial equity. Francesca's extensive experience and unwavering dedication to equity work have positioned her as a leader with a people-first mentality, firmly grounded in the belief that everyone should strive to reach their fullest potential. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge and expertise, Francesca is currently working toward her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education at the University of Maryland. Her academic endeavors align with her overarching mission to transform mathematics education and promote equity in learning environments.
