Shani grew up in Northampton, a liberal college town in Western, Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. in Child Development and Studio Art from Tufts University. Shani has a Master's degree in Art Education from Tufts and The Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston and recently earned her second Master's in Educational Leadership at our very own High Tech High Graduate School. Over the years, Shani has worked in a variety of roles at HTH. She has been a founding art teacher at three of our schools. She has also worked as a PBL coach, Dean of Students, Outreach Coordinator and most recently as the Director at High Tech High North County. When she’s not working in schools, Shani loves spending time with family, surfing, yoga, painting, traveling, and gardening.
