Erica is a Data Scientist within the Center for Research on Equity & Innovation at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. She is also an Improvement Coach and supports the MAIC math network, CARPE college access network, Share Your Learning campaign and the 9th Grade Supports team at HTH schools.

After earning her undergraduate degree in Spanish at Azusa Pacific University, she taught high school Spanish for two years in Los Angeles. She attended graduate school at Azusa Pacific University for Education and American University for International Peace and Conflict Resolution. She earned her TESOL certification in Kolkata, India and has lived in Spain, Guatemala, and Mexico. Erica studied data science at UCSD Extension and through multiple online platforms. She is passionate about people, equity, language and math.
