“How do literacy circles influence the enjoyment, engagement, and achievement of young readers?”

Janna Steffan is a 3rd grade French immersion teacher at the Language Academy in San Diego. She has also lived and taught in Canada and Japan. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University and is now in the Teacher Leadership M.Ed. program at the HTH Graduate School of Education, where she is conducting action research on the effect of literature circles on student engagement.
