Howard Fuller is Distinguished Professor and Founding Director of the Institute for the Transformation of Learning at Marquette University. He is Chair and co-founder of the Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO), and Board Chair of the CEO Leadership Academy in Milwaukee. In a career dating from the 1960’s, Fuller has been a noted black power advocate, community organizer, and civic leader. As Superintendent of the Milwaukee Public School District (1991-95), he created the first publicly funded school voucher program in the nation. Dr. Fuller holds a B.S. degree from Carroll College, an M.S.A. from Western Reserve University, and a Ph.D. in Sociological Foundations of Education from Marquette University.
