Milena Carmona is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, (PUC-SP), where she also earned a master’s degree in Teacher Education. She works as a researcher and teacher educator with the Language in Activity in the School Context research group (GP LACE/PUC-SP), and publishes academic articles focused on teaching and learning in multilingual school contexts, with an emphasis on equity and diversity. Milena is the K–1 Division Associate Head at Avenues The World School, where she coordinates teacher teams and students, and supports curriculum development.
