sam seidelis the author of the book Hip Hop Genius. In 1983 sam began attending alternative public schools. In 1986 he recorded his first rap tape. He is still building from these experiences as he writes, speaks and consults in the areas of education, arts, and community development. Sam is currently a Rhode Island School of Design Community Fellow and teaches at the Rhode Island Training School, a juvenile prison. He holds a B.A. and teaching credential from Brown University.
